Savoie and Haute Savoie gear up for the start of the winter sports season

After COVID winters, and winters with overly pleasant temperatures, winter 2023-2024 is shaping up to be a truly promising season in terms of snow quality. In fact, many resorts have already posted their first abundant snowfalls on their networks, with optimistic forecasts for the coming winter's conditions.

Courchevel - the world's ski capital - published its “D-15” countdown to opening day as recently as November 17, proudly announcing that “snow is on the way”. Val Thorens, voted “World's Best Ski Resort” at the World Ski Awards for the 8th time, is proud to announce that it will open on November 18, 2023, a week ahead of schedule, thanks to recent snowfalls.

Megeve will also be taking part, offering “LA FEERIE DU SAPIN” for its earliest visitors on December 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., to celebrate magic and the elements together with the illumination of the most beautiful fir tree in the Alps.
